CBE JU project portfolio: interactive dashboard 2026

The CBE JU project portfolio dashboard provides an interactive overview of the feedstocks and technologies used across projects funded by CBE JU and its predecessor, BBI JU. It also shows the intermediate outputs and products being developed, alongside investment across different lead markets.

The tool brings together project-reported data across the circular bio-based value chain. Users can explore the portfolio by category, discover project examples and see where bio-based innovation could be applied across different markets.

General overview

  • The dashboard showcases the CBE JU project portfolio, including valorised feedstock, innovative technologies and bio-based products together with their potential applications across different markets. It also presents investment by leading market, based on each project’s main focus. 
  • Non-sensitive information is provided to illustrate the feedstocks and products through concrete examples. 
  • The dashboard is interactive. On pages with multiple visuals, selecting an element, such as a chart, bar or a slicer, automatically filters the other data based on your selection. 
    • To clear all applied filters, click “Reset selection” in the top-right corner.
    • To select multiple items, hold down Ctrl while clicking each item.
    • To return to the home page, click the house icon in the top-right corner. 
    • To navigate between report pages, use the arrows in the top-right corner. Alternatively, return to the home page and select another page from there. 

Getting started

  • On the home page, select the category you would like to explore by clicking the relevant button. Some sections include an overview page and a detail page with concrete examples. You can navigate between them using the relevant buttons or the arrows in the top-right corner.
  • Each page allows you to filter the data by type of action, project status, and funding call. Some detail pages also include additional slicers for other relevant categories.

Device compatibility

  • Best viewed on desktop. A mobile friendly version may become available in future versions.

Data presented in this dashboard were reported by projects funded by CBE JU and its predecessor, BBI JU, through a dedicated online reporting tool. 

This dashboard version includes data reported up to February 2026 by 194 Research and Innovation Action (RIA) and Innovation Action (IA) projects. The exception is the “Investments in lead markets” tab, which includes data from 217 projects, including projects recently launched under the 2025 call. Coordination and Support Action (CSA) projects are not included in this dashboard.
