Country & organisation participation in CBE JU projects: interactive dashboard

The new CBE JU countries participation dashboard provides an interactive overview of the geographic distribution of BBI/CBE JU projects’ participants in EU member states and associated countries.

The tool filters data by country, allowing users to explore project and participants information. All terminology and data categories follow the official Horizon Europe definitions. 

General overview

  • The default view displays combined data for all EU member states and associated countries.

  • The dashboard is fully interactive. Clicking on any element (like a chart bar or map item) filters the rest of the data based on your selection.

    • Example: Click the green IA-Flagships bar to view only those projects.

  • Click on any empty space in the dashboard to clear your selection.
  • To select multiple items, hold down CTRL and click.
  • To reset everything, click the house icon in the top-right corner.
     

Getting started

  • Choose a country from the dropdown at the top.
    • Click the arrow to open/close the list.
    • To close the list manually, click any empty space on the dashboard.
  • After selecting a country, the dashboard shows:
    • Number and type of national projects and participants.
    • Funding data and how it’s distributed across project types.
    • Details about:
      • SMEs
      • BIC members
      • Project coordinators
  • Filter further by:
    • Feedstock used
    • Application area
      (This will update the right-hand data panel too.)
  • Countries without flagship biorefinery projects are shown as grey dots on the map.

Example

  • Select a country to view funded biorefineries or demo plants.
  • Click a specific biorefinery on the map to zoom in and filter data.
  • You can also click on a feedstock or application to update the project list accordingly.
  • The bar chart shows four types of actions, each with a unique colour.
  • The circular graph on the right shows funding per action type (in matching colours).
  • You can filter data by:
    • Year of funding
    • Programme
    • Specific beneficiaries
  • Also displayed:
    • Total number of projects (ongoing and completed)
    • SME involvement
    • BIC membership
    • Project names
       

Device compatibility

  • Best viewed on desktop.
  • On desktop:
    • Hover over info icons to see tooltips.
    • Use CTRL + click for multiple selections.
  • On mobile/tablet:
    • Use landscape mode for a better view.
    • Tooltips and multiple selections are not available.
