BioEco Valley Summit 2026

In-person

The BioEco Valley Summit 2026 will bring together researchers, industry representatives, start-ups and innovation actors working to advance a sustainable circular bioeconomy with a focus on forestry.

This year’s theme, Lignin, Fibres & Optimised Circular Processes, will focus on advancing bio-based materials and circular value chains, with particular attention to lignin valorisation and process optimisation. The three-day programme will feature keynote speeches, interactive roundtables, poster sessions and business-to-business meetings, alongside study visits to leading innovation environments including Biosorbe and LignoCity.

Among the keynote speakers, Nicolò Giacomuzzi-Moore, Executive Director of CBE JU, will contribute to discussions on the future of Europe’s circular bioeconomy and the role of innovation in scaling sustainable bio-based solutions.

Organised by Karlstad University’s Pro2BE research environment in collaboration with Paper Province, Sting Bioeconomy, Karlstad Municipality and Region Värmland, the summit will provide a platform for scientific exchange, networking and early-stage innovation in the forest-based bioeconomy.

The conference will be held in English.
