The Bioeconomy and Competitiveness Days 2026 will focus on how the bioeconomy can act as a key driver of European competitiveness, addressing industrial development and scale-up, investment opportunities, circularity and the creation of resilient bio-based value chains.
The programme covers business models and market opportunities, financing for bioeconomy companies, regulatory frameworks, strategic sectors, resource efficiency and success stories from across Europe’s bio-based industries. By linking renewable biological resources with industrial applications in food, materials, energy and manufacturing, the event highlights the bioeconomy’s role in strengthening Europe’s innovation capacity and strategic autonomy.
On 18 June (12:00–13:15), during the parallel session on biomaterials, Marta Campos Iturralde, CBE JU Legal Manager, will present an overview of how CBE JU supports bioeconomy innovation through its funding programme. Her intervention will highlight opportunities for project funding in the bioeconomy sector and showcase examples of sucessfull CBE JU-funded projects.
