The EU4Algae Annual Meeting will bring together leading figures from Europe’s algae community, including the European Comission, consortium partners and industry experts, to review progress, share project outcomes and set priorities for the year ahead. Held in a hybrid format, with the presential meeting taking place in Riga, Latvia, the event will feature discussions on policy developments, innovation tools and key initiatives such as the Algae Farmers Toolkit and Industry Roadmap. It will conclude with a high-level panel on “Scaling up Algae Innovation: Public Funding and Investment Opportunities for Start-ups and SMEs at EU Level”, where Pilar Llorente Ruiz de Azua, Programme Officer at CBE JU, will present CBE JU funding opportunities. The panel will also feature representatives from EIC, EIT Food, Horizon Europe, BlueInvest and the EIB, who will share insights and practical guidance on accessing investment and support opportunities for start-ups and companies in the algae sector.
