The first edition of the European Bioeconomy Conference, taking place on 20 November 2025 at Maison Grand Place, in Brussels, will convene EU policymakers, business leaders and innovators to chart the path to a more sustainable and competitive European economy. Organised by Business Bridge Europe, in collaboration with Cepi, representing the European pulp and paper industry, the event will explore how Europe can lead the global transition toward a circular bioeconomy: a sector projected to reach €6.6 trillion by 2030. As Europe prepares to update its Bioeconomy Strategy, the conference will focus on how bio-based industries (from packaging and textiles to advanced materials) can drive green growth, reduce fossil dependence and strengthen industrial resilience. CBE JU Executive Director Nicoló Giacomuzzi-Moore will take part in the panel discussion titled Bioeconomy across sectors: from textiles to bio-based chemicals.
