The new CBE JU project portfolio dashboard brings together project-reported data in one interactive tool, offering a portfolio-wide view of activities funded by CBE JU and its predecessor, BBI JU. Users can explore their potential applications and the investment directed towards different lead markets. The dashboard also shows how feedstocks, technologies, intermediate outputs and bio-based products connect across the circular bio-based value chain.
The dashboard highlights the scale and diversity of the CBE JU portfolio. It shows how projects valorise resources such as agricultural side-streams, forestry residues, aquatic biomass, waste and biogenic gaseous carbon. It also presents the main technologies and processes applied to develop new bio-based solutions, including industrial biotechnology, chemical and thermochemical conversion and mechanical processing.
Use the tool to explore the outputs and products developed by the CBE JU projects. These include bio-based chemicals, materials and food and feed ingredients, as well as products with potential applications in agriculture, packaging, construction, textiles, food and feed, cosmetics and home care and the automotive sector.
The dashboard brings together data reported by 194 projects up to February 2026. The investment section also includes projects recently funded under the 2025 call for proposals covering a total of 217 projects.
