Andean lupin creams, lotions and soaps
A family of vegan cosmetic creams, lotions and soaps made with ingredients derived from Andean lupin beans.
The LIBBIO project cultivated Andean lupin in Europe and developed creams, lotions and soaps using ingredients derived from the crop. The products demonstrate consumer applications for lupin grown on marginal land.
The formulations are vegan and provide a plant-based route for cosmetic ingredients while creating additional value from a crop suited to low-input and marginal-land cultivation.
