SURFs UP has developed the Swipe Right make-up remover using biosurfactants produced from second-generation renewable feedstocks. The feedstock base includes sugars from woody biomass and renewable waste and co-product streams from food processing.
The formulation is designed to remove make-up while remaining gentle on the skin. It demonstrates the use of renewable biosurfactants in personal-care products as an alternative to fossil-based surfactants.
