SURFs UP has developed a dishwashing formulation using biosurfactants produced from second-generation biomass, including wood and regional food-processing sidestreams. The product is intended for daily dish-cleaning applications.
The formulation demonstrates the use of renewable surfactants as alternatives to fossil-based ingredients in home care. Together with the bathroom and kitchen cleaners, it forms part of the project's pilot-to-industrial demonstration of biosurfactant-based formulations.
