The BRILIAN project has developed bio-based lubricants made from vegetable oils obtained from low-input dry crops. The formulations are intended for agricultural machinery within the project's circular rural value chain.
The lubricants are designed to replace fossil-based alternatives while providing friction reduction, wear protection and improved oxidative stability. Their use creates an additional industrial application for oils produced from crops suited to lower-input farming conditions.
