A hemp-reinforced façade panel developed for improved mechanical properties and long-term carbon storage in building applications.
The SSUCHY-Next project has demonstrated hemp reinforcement in the Nabasco 8040 façade panel. The building component applies aligned natural fibres within a long-life structural material.
The hemp reinforcement is intended to improve mechanical properties while providing a durable application for bio-based fibres. The façade panel also demonstrates the use of the project's composite materials in construction products.
