Bio-based insulation foams produced using Lignova™ lignin recovered from hardwood residues.
SWEETWOODS has demonstrated insulation foams using high-purity lignin produced from hardwood residues at its industrial biorefinery. The lignin replaces part of the fossil-derived material input in the insulation formulation.
The foams create a higher-value construction application for forestry residues and demonstrate how industrial-scale lignin can be incorporated into building materials.
