Beer bottle made from PEF
A fully bio-based and recyclable PEF bottle demonstrated for beer packaging and tested with Carlsberg.
The PEFerence project demonstrated a fully bio-based PEF bottle for beer. The material provides the barrier performance needed to maintain beer quality and freshness while replacing conventional fossil-based plastic packaging.
The bottle combines high barrier performance with full recyclability and a lower carbon footprint than fossil-based alternatives, demonstrating the suitability of PEF for demanding beverage-packaging applications.
