SUSBIND developed renewable binders as alternatives to fossil-based adhesives used in particle board and medium-density fibreboard. The binders were demonstrated in a furniture application using wood-based panels.
Made almost entirely from renewable resources, the binders are designed to provide performance comparable to conventional adhesives while improving the indoor-air-quality profile of wood-panel products.
